A visit to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

This past Saturday we decided to head on down to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. After hearing how wonderful the new museum was from so many friends that had gone, we just had to go and see it for ourselves. They weren't kidding - it was absolutely fabulous!!! All 5 of us had a ball, but I think that Kaylen enjoyed it the most. She loves science!!! She tells us that she wants to be a surgeon when she grows up so that she can fix people's broken places like Dr. Hoxworth fixed her mommy. She really is so interested in science - especially the human body and how it works. She has recently discovered the series, "The Magic School Bus." She really enjoys the ones where the Magic School bus along with Miss Frizzle and her students journey into the human body. We bought one of the DVDs the other day and she wants to watch it whenever given the chance. We were able to find the book that goes along with it at the museum which thrilled her! Along with Kaylen's favorite enhibit - a CSI experience where you look at an injured body and try to figure out what happened to it, we were excited to encounter some dinosaurs (Joshua's favorite exhibit), a children's museum with lots of hands on fun, a Tinker Toy exhibit, and even an opportunity to ride a few horses and see a movie in 3-D. It was non-stop laughs and fun and we can't wait to go back and do it all again sometime soon! :)

"Look mom, I think I can see my esophagus," said Kaylen!

Here's Josh checking out the baby's lungs....I think we may have a family full of future doctors!
